I knew I was a writer when a professor told me I had some talent. But it was the creative writers that I went to school with that taught me everything I’ve learned.
The workshop setting is essential for a writer. A writer needs someone to read their work and say, “this sentence structure is working for me,” or “cut this and use a different word.” We need each other. To hone our voices. For encouragement. Honesty. For words. Is it not all about the words and the experience your reader has with them once they are on the page? The Creative Cusp is just that. Writers doing anything and everything to get those words to the page. Wake up San Diego. Let’s write. |
